Serve
The act of hitting the shuttlecock to start a rally.
Rally
The exchange of shots between players until the shuttlecock falls out of bounds or a fault is made.
Smash

Drop shoT
A soft shot played by hitting the shuttlecock just over the net, making it difficult for the opponent to reach.
Clear
